Artificial Intelligence – Boon or Bane?

What is A.I.?

Artificial intelligence (A.I.) is a human-like behavior performed by a machine or system. In A.I.’s most simple form, computers are designed to “mimic” human behavior by using extensive data from examples that have already occurred of similar behavior. It can range from understanding the differences between a cat and a bird to performing complex activities in a manufacturing facility.

Artificial intelligence means a computer has its own consciousness and thought process like humans, which helps them make decisions.

How Artificial Intelligence is A Boon?

A.I. can be beneficial and will ease out different processes. Keeping the legal fraternity as the main topic in this, A.I. can ease the tiring process of reading bulky documents. Logistics can be taken care of, like preparing case files, summarizing judgments, etc.

A.I. creates various questions and has its risks, too. Still, at the exact time, it can provide the legal fraternity with a new way of functioning and a unique opportunity to dig into new fields of law. Every time a new system replaces the old one, it drags a new set of jobs and opportunities.

A.I. does the task in the shortest time possible. It allows multitasking and eases the work pressure on existing resources. It will enable the execution of complex tasks without high-cost outlays.

A.I. works 24×7 without interruption or breaks; this will boost the company’s development and has no downtime. It increases the capabilities of differently abled individuals. It has potential in markets, and it can be positioned across industries. It facilitates decision-making faster and smarter.

How Artificial Intelligence is A Bane?

A.I. is considered a bane by some people, majorly because it may direct to the loss of jobs and replacement of human beings. It consists of a tangible threat to humans and their lives. It also raises various questions, for instance, civil or criminal liability for wrongdoings. In today’s time, A.I. is considered a bane because it will take many jobs and become a significant replacement for human beings.

A.I. today believes that advanced A.I. systems if deployed carelessly, could permanently cut off human civilization from a promising future. Many experts in this field have used this statement. Big personality scientists and researchers like Stephen Hawking and Elon Musk agreed with this statement.

Some of the risks of artificial intelligence are Lack of A.I. Implementation Traceability, Introducing Program Bias in Decision Making, Data Sourcing and Violation of Personal Privacy, Black Box Algorithms, and Lack of Transparency, Unclear Legal Responsibility.

As A. I would have its consciousness. It might create different languages to communicate with other systems, which is very risky and spooky. Language might be way ahead of human intelligence. It would be difficult to know what they want to do, or doing this might create problems for humans.

Conclusion

So to conclude, corrective measures and a great vision could make A. I .helpful for us. Many people are already learning these skills for a better career. If you are someone interested in tech, you can also try your hands on Artificial Intelligence. You can try to opt for a virtual internship online on Artificial Intelligence from Internshipgate and give a boost to your career.
